Concert host

The voice that brings the room up.

Concert announcer, festival MC and warm-up host for tapings, live shows, showcases and launches. One voice on the microphone in English, French and Spanish, based in Paris and working across Europe.

Warm-up before the live

The audience arrives cold and the cameras roll in minutes. I bring the room up in the time you give me, with a clear plan agreed with your director.

Artist announcements

Names, titles and introductions written short and said right. Every artist gets the entrance you agreed on with the production, on the cue.

Gaps and set changes

Stage resets, technical pauses, retakes. I hold the room with the event, with a plan for each gap, so the audience never sits in silence.

Rules and thank-yous

Audience instructions, safety messages, when to applaud, when to be quiet. Sponsor reads and thanks written to your wording and delivered clean.

Shows this fits

  • Audience warm-up for TV shows and tapings.
  • Concerts and festival stages with a tight schedule.
  • Showcases and live performances.
  • Product launches with a live act.
  • Variety shows and live-streamed programmes.
  • Brand events that mix music, speeches and awards.

How I prepare

  • A running order built with your producer or director, with the cue for every announcement.
  • Pronunciation of every artist, sponsor and guest, checked in advance and noted phonetically.
  • Coordination with the stage manager and the sound control room, so voice, music and lights hit the same cue.
  • A walk-through of the room and the audience flow before doors open.

What I need to brief

  • Date, venue, capacity and the type of show.
  • Whether the event is filmed or streamed, and the call time of the audience.
  • The running order, with the fixed moments: doors, opening, set changes, finale.
  • Languages of the audience.
  • Names and sponsors to read, with the rules on what must not be said.

What I bring

I host live on the microphone in English, French and Spanish: galas, conferences, award evenings, fashion shows and parties. Each one has a running order, a live audience to read and a technical crew to coordinate. A concert or a taping asks for the same things: energy on cue, names said right, and a voice that stays steady when the schedule moves.

Warming up a TV audience and announcing concerts is new ground for me. I take it on with the same method as any new room: in detail, with your production, before the day.
